To grow shallots, simply plant them in well-drained soil and keep them regularly watered for optimal bulb development. Planting them with certain companion plants, like lettuce and thyme, can also improve their growth. It is recommended to plant them on the shortest day and harvest on the longest, as they take about 90-120 days to mature. Once harvested, dry the bulbs in a well-ventilated area for two to three weeks
