This is an unusual heirloom variety native to Bolivia and Peru. The plant is very high yielding with fleshy fruit that turns dark red when ripe and a small number of unusual black seeds inside. The variety has excellent cold tolerance and will live for many years. Grows 2-3 m, stem becomes woody over time like a tree. Heat 100,000-300,000 scoville.

Sow Spring and Summer Sow 5mm directly in final position or in seed boxes, seedlings emerge 10-14 days, must have adequate temperature (20-30 degrees )to germinate, space 50cm apart. Harvest any time when fruits are red and of a suitable size
