This is a very old heirloom, said to have been around for 300 yrs. It produces fruit about 15cm long which a quite wide at the base making them perfect for preserving and stuffing. Fruit green turning red on maturity. The plant is around 60cm tall. This is a mild variety with a heat level 2.
Sow Spring and Summer
Sow 5mm directly in final position or in seed boxes, seedlings emerge 10-14 days, must have adequate temperature to germinate, sow 25-30 degrees and keep moist but not too wet as seeds may rot, space 50cm apart.
Harvest any time when fruits are of a suitable size ~ 70-80 days from sowing
