Climbing Bean 'Purple King'

This variety of climbing bean is of a purple colour but turns green when cooked. They taste just as good or even better than the regular bean you find in stores and are an amazingly vigorous producer - with just 15 seeds you'll have beans coming out of your ears! They are best picked when about 15-20cm long and will continue to flower of a long period for an extended harvest. This bean is a climbing variety so requires a trellis or some sort of support to climb on.

Sowing time - Spring and summer

Prefer sunny position,

sow 25mm deep, emerge 7-10 days

Harvest in approx 10 weeks after sowing
