This beautiful and fast growing perennial grows long bamboo like canes up to 6 metres in height with beautiful pink dahlia flowers. In cool climates with a cold winter, average heights are 2-3m. Plant goes dormant in winter (in climates with cool winters) and should be cut back each year to ensure robust growth the following Spring. 

Stem cuttings are the best way to propagate tree dahlias and guarantee you get large vigorous plants that flower sooner. Plant immediately upon arrival, you can even plant in pots to keep it alive and then replant to a final position in the garden in spring once they begin to grow. Must have free draining loamy soil while they're dormant, they may rot in heavy wet soil over winter.
