GROUND ORCHID Pink - Bletilla striata

Chinese ground orchid is a perennial orchid that will slowly spread in an area over time. Perfect in pots, rockeries and borders. Can be used as a cut flower. Considered much easier to grow and quicker flowering than most orchid varieties.

Prefers free draining position and doesn't need too much watering, has good drought tolerance. Survives cold and frosty winters by dying back over winter and re-emerging in Spring. In climates with a mild winter foliage will remain year round.

Freshly divided, these are corms that just need to be planted and will emerge once temperatures are warm enough. Please see image 2 for an example of what you will receive, corms are approx size of a 50c coin.

Grows 30-40cm height

Full sun to semi shade

Plant about 5cm below the soil surface.
