Annual plant producing nice dainty flowers. Unlike the ornamental nigella varieties, this variety is grown for its edible seeds, used primarily as a spice.

Full sun to part shade

Sow 2mm deep

Best in temperate / cool climates but will tolerate warmer zones. Frost tolerant. Seeds germinate best at 15-20 degrees C soil temperature, direct in garden as they don’t transplant well.
