This is an unusual relative to regular coriander, also called sawtooth coriander, spiny coriander or culantro. The plant forms a small rosette of lance shaped spiny edged leaves which can be used as a flavouring herb in many dishes. Leaves can also be frozen to preserve. It is very hardy and is an excellent shade plant for undergrowth borders. Sow in Spring, summer when germinating temperatures are 20-25 degrees Sow on surface and keep moist, seedlings emerge 3-4 weeks, needs shaded position Grows 20cm tall, best germinated indoors and planted out later.
