This German heirloom variety of climbing bean produces enormous flat purple beans that stay tender and stringless, even as they get huge in size. They are best picked when about 15-20cm long and will continue to flower of a long period for an extended harvest. This bean is a climbing variety so requires a trellis or some sort of support to climb on.

Sowing time - Spring and summer

Prefer sunny position,

sow 25mm deep, emerge 7-10 days

Harvest in approx 10 weeks after sowing
