Planting Guide - What to grow when

What's your climate?

Tropical / Subtropical - Hot and humid summer with mild to warm winter - Most of Northern Australia, northern coastal Australia. Subtropics - Kempsey, Coffs Harbour, Grafton, Lismore, Brisbane, Maryborough and Bundaburg. Tropical - Cairns, Darwin, Broome, Rockhampton, Mackay, Townsville

Temperate - Warm to hot summer and cool winter - Inland and southern QLD, most of SA, Northern VIC and southern NT, coastal and sourthern NSW. Places include Sydney, Newcastle, Taree, Kempsey, Mudgee, Adelaide and Alice Springs.

Cool - Mild to warm Summer and cold winter with frosts- Northern and Southern Tablelands, ACT and the majority or TAS. Places include: Armidale, Glenn Innes, warwick, toowoomba, Dalby, Bathurst, Orange, Goulburn, Canberra, Orbost, Melbourne, Portland, Mt Gambier, Hobart
