Climates best suited: Temperate to Cold Climate, cooler alpine areas with cold winters give the best bulbs for this variety.
Sow May-June, Harvest December to January
Plant each clove separately so that the tops of the bulbs are just below the soil surface, with the pointier end facing upwards, plant 10cm apart
Harvest about 8 months after planting once the stalks go brown. Leave to dry under cover in a ventilated area, usually by hanging, for 2-3 weeks.
